3D Space Platformer
This is a 3D Platformer made for the Game Design & Development minor at Michigan State University.
Credit to Declan McClintok for most of the assets, and me for the rest.
Assignment modifications:
-Designed an entirely new level with a couple of new textures!
-Changed the way that enemies spawn a little bit. They come from the trees!
-Added new "Pearl" pickup and associated pillars. Pick up the pearls and bring them back to their pillars to finish the game!
-Added a Score pickup Return bank, where one must collect a certain number of pickups to complete the level.
-Added a flower platform / enemy that uses a custom shader to open/close.
-Added acceleration & deceleration as well as variable jump height to the player controller.
-Various changes to the game loop, such as respawning from the closest point on the world after falling off and removing lives.
I had to cut a lot of content to make the deadline, but I am happy with how this level design and gameplay turned out.
